Using a unique application of Subaru’s horizontally opposed Boxer engine, the Subaru BRZ is a quick and maneuverable two-door roadster that combines power and great handling to deliver plenty of fun to drivers. For 2017, the BRZ gets an update to both styling and performance. Both the inside and the outside of the car have been reworked, the engine tuned up for more power and the suspension tightened for better handling. And if that’s not enough, there is also the new Performance Package for the dedicated driving enthusiasts.
The Subaru Crosstrek – a unique mashup of compact hatchback and crossover SUV – is one of the models that remain mostly unchanged for the 2017 model year. It still delivers the versatile and efficient performance, thanks to its hatchback body design, tall ground clearance and compact engine. Of the new additions to the 2017 Crosstrek, the most notable is the new Special Edition trim line which adds cosmetic and technology stylings to the already-impressive Premium trim level.
The Forester is one of the longest-running Subaru models, offering a more upright and traditional SUV-like counterpart to the other Subaru best-seller – the Outback. It is spacious, responsive and versatile, being offered with both as a conventional compact SUV and a performance-oriented 2.0XT model with a powerful turbo engine. The 2017 model adds new safety features to the Forester’s EyeSight suite, including lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, adaptive headlights and reverse automatic braking.
The 2017 Subaru Impreza is an all-new vehicle with very few things carried over from the previous model. The new body and suspension is more spacious and more maneuverable, offering better visibility. Both interior and exterior styling are modern and improved, with an aggressive flowing exterior and a bright interior dominated by a large touch screen interface. The new Impreza, available as both a sedan and a hatchback, is truly a competitive compact.
The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size sedan designed to bring Subaru’s safety and performance technology to a larger sedan platform. Recently redesigned, the new Legacy features a few cosmetic updates, as well as a new trim line for 2017. 2.5i Sport – the new trim – allows buyers to incorporate some technology and comfort features of the 2.5i Limited model to the 2.5i Premium loadout without adding all of the luxury features.
The Outback is Subaru’s iconic vehicle, combining the traditional wagon utility with the all-terrain and safety abilities of an SUV and the efficiency and handling of a passenger car. The 2017 Outback incorporates a few changes on both the bottom and the top ends of its feature list. The base models do away with their steel wheels, making alloy wheels standard on all models. At the top of the lineup, the new Touring trim level is an ‘all-in’ option that incorporates all of the optional features of the Limited model as standard.
The WRX is the iconic Subaru all-wheel drive performance sedan that needs no introduction. The 2017 model is mostly identical to last year’s offering, but it also incorporates the new EyeSight features that have been added to the Outback, Forester and Legacy models such as reverse automatic braking systems.
