The 2017 Subaru Impreza has been loaded with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that has been designed with direct fuel injection to boost power and fuel efficiency. The Impreza’s engine has a series of pistons that move efficiently from side to side in order to cancel out unwanted vibrations, which helps the engine operate more smoothly and efficiently. Its unique horizontal design also delivers better balance while effortlessly transferring power and torque to all four wheels simultaneously. This sporty engine produces a satisfying 152 horsepower, which is a jump up from the previous generation Impreza. Furthermore, the Impreza can achieve up to an EPA estimated 38 miles per gallon on the highway. For smooth and seamless shifting experience, a continuously variable transmission (CVT) has been upgraded to include a sporty seven-speed manual mode. Subaru’s Active Torque Vectoring feature will also make the Impreza livelier by improving the car’s handling ability around sharp curves and winding roads.
The new Impreza comes with a wide range of safety features. Subaru’s innovative EyeSight system has been included on the Impreza. This system offers features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert and lane-keep assist functions, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection and a unique reverse automatic braking function. Moreover, the Impreza’s ring-shaped reinforcement frame consists of a high-stength steel center pillar, body-side frames, side pillars and floor crossmember positioned in a protective ring-like layout to form a safety shell around the occupants.
